Essential Bass

Some compositions contain written bass parts that are essential to the arrangement. If the bass player has a specific rhythmic part to play, it's because the bass part is the glue that holds the rhythm section together. Sometimes the written bass parts are simple, sometimes they're difficult. We've indicated a difficulty level for each of the bass parts in our Essential Bass category.
